Transfer calls back to your clinic

Lyngo’s Transfer Back option lets callers connect directly to your clinic’s phone when they need to speak with a real person.

Updated this week

How it Works

When a caller chooses to speak with your clinic, Lyngo transfers the call to the number you’ve set. If you’ve asked your provider to link that number to your existing phone system, it will ring on the same phones your team already uses.

The number we transfer to cannot be the same as the same number we receive the call from.

How to Set It Up

Step 1: Get a secondary number

Ask your phone provider for an extra line (different from your public-facing number). This prevents calls from looping back into Lyngo.

Step 2: Add it to Lyngo

Log into your Lyngo portal and enter the secondary number as your Transfer Back number. You can also choose a timeframe for when transfers are allowed and when Lyngo should take a message instead.

Tip: A “back line” or “ghost number” is usually all you need - your provider can set this up quickly.
